Learning to animate and model in Maya.

I’ve mostly just copied things over from the left leg to the right, but have now parent constrained the knee triangle things to both the Arty_COG and the Ankle control.

I’ve been working on the model along with a few other things, but among the most useful things I’ve been learning is setting a driven key. We have used this to edit visibility of objects and now have learned to use it with rigs, to make animating much easier.

Starting with already set up models, I have so far learned how to modify when each item will be visible and how to use nHair to create points on the models that will move with said model, I assume to later attach legs while rigging. Also learning about “Ball Types”

I messed around with keys just to see how they worked with nParticles and nCloth, so it did a thing. Yay.
I learned that nStuff is different from the solvers and such things, and then proceeded to create a cloth and bounce nParticles off of it, creating this odd effect. The lighting is poor but the image is just to get the idea across.

I did the thing and it generally seems to be working. I had multiple issues and am still facing multiple, but since I got the thing done I guess its generally possible for me to do. yay.
Currently using Bullet physics… or whatever that is called, to create a wrecking ball. The general setup is complete and the chain is working… I think.

Went through the rigging process by making a poor fan model and animating it. Worked, and I found out how a few things work/dont work with rigging.
I’ve jumped back into the drone video and finished up the wire. Afterwards I simply grouped everything together, duplicated everything over, and fixed the outliner to be properly set up.
